MOSCOW, 17 April (BelTA) - Inflation in the Eurasian Economic Union was 0.4% in March and 2% in the first quarter, BelTA has learned from the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
"The consumer price index for goods and services in the Eurasian Economic Union was 100.4% in March 2024 over February 2024 and 102% as against December 2023," the EEC said in a statement.
Prices for paid services increased by 8.7% in the EAEU. Prices for food products rose by 7.5%, for non-food products - by 6.7%.
A March price increase (in annual terms) for food products in Russia was higher that the EAEU average (8.1%). The highest increase in prices for non-food products was registered in Kyrgyzstan (9.6%) and Kazakhstan (8.2%), for paid services - in Kazakhstan (13.2%) and Kyrgyzstan (9.2%).
