HTP: Digital transformation is a necessity for economic competitiveness

MINSK, 5 January (BelTA) - The Hi-Tech Park (HTP) and the Association of High Technologies and Digital Infrastructure have signed a memorandum of cooperation, BelTA learned from the park’s press service.

The signing ceremony was attended by Head of the Supervisory Board Secretariat of the Hi-Tech Park Anna Ryabova and Director General of the Association of High Technologies and Digital Infrastructure Aleksei Sventsitsky.

The document establishes a new level of partnership for the park to drive the comprehensive digitalization of the country and covers key areas of technological development: the introduction of artificial intelligence and digital twins, the creation of national cloud infrastructure, achieving import independence in software and hardware, and the active promotion of Belarusian solutions in foreign markets.

“Today, digital transformation is not a choice but a necessity for the competitiveness of the national economy,” Anna Ryabova commented on the event. “By combining the expertise and resources of the Hi-Tech Park and the leading market players from the association, we are creating a powerful alliance. Our common task is not merely to adapt technologies, but to actively shape the technological sovereignty of Belarus. This means our own platforms, our own secure solutions, and our own competencies.”

The memorandum pays special attention to practical mechanisms: the development of public-private partnerships, the creation of consortia for implementing major projects, and support for venture financing and startups.

During the negotiations, the parties also exchanged views on strategic cooperation between the Hi-Tech Park and the association and outlined the framework for priority joint initiatives.
