MOSCOW, 24 November (BelTA) - Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Bakytzhan Sagintayev and Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Gerd Müller have signed a declaration on cooperation, BelTA learned from the EEC press service.
“Today, given the scale of the tasks in the field of industrial policy and sustainable development, we are interested in elevating our cooperation to a new, more systematic and measurable level. This is precisely why we attach particular importance to the signing of this declaration. The document reflects the consolidated position of the EAEU states,” Bakytzhan Sagintayev said during a meeting with Gerd Müller on the sidelines of the 21st UNIDO General Conference in Riyadh.
The declaration establishes a solid foundation for interaction, formalizes the principles of joint work, and provides an opportunity to expand the list of common initiatives in a number of areas, including digitalization, improving energy efficiency, the introduction of green solutions, and the development of small and medium-sized enterprises.
“For the Commission, the use of UNIDO's analytics and methodological approaches is of particular value. This allows us to align our own strategies with global trends and develop more precise solutions within the Eurasian integration association,” the chairman of the Board said.
