Deputy director: Belarusian Steel Works is strong enough to survive sanctions

MINSK, 28 March (BelTA) – Belarusian Steel Works (BMZ brand) has built enough resilience, BMZ Deputy Director General for Social Policy and Ideology Andrei Kulakovsky said at the meeting with the staff, BelTA learned from the official Telegram channel of the company.

The operation of Belarusian Steel Works under the sanctions became the main topic of the meeting. “The sanctions have somewhat complicated our work. Yet, BMZ is resilient enough. We understand how we should work and where we should move. There are alternative suppliers for almost all types of components and raw materials. The work on suppliers of the remaining components and raw materials is underway. Now the company is operating as normal,” Andrei Kulakovsky said.

BMZ is a high-tech Belarusian metallurgical enterprise. It comprises infrastructure shops and four manufacturing divisions connected by one technological chain. The divisions focus on steel smelting, mill products, pipe products, hardware items.
