Belarus in Minsk on 29 September, BelTA has learned.
The parties discussed reviving competencies in this area and joint projects, including the construction of tourist vessels. “We have neglected this topic for too long. We mostly focused on repairing existing vessels, but it is time to get back to building new ones – recreational boats, tourist boats. This area could give a serious boost to development. We are open to joint work and are ready to move forward,” Mikhail Batsenko noted.
The construction of tourist vessels in Irkutsk is a rapidly developing area, especially given the popularity of Lake Baikal. The city serves as a platform for building modern cruise ships designed for tourist routes. For instance, the motor ship Barguzin of Project RPV8714A, a comfortable vessel for recreation on the lake, has been launched in Irkutsk.
