“We pay special attention to vegetable cultivation both in greenhouses and open fields,” farm director Aleksandr Bagel said. “We have 10 hectares of greenhouse space, of which 3 hectares are energy-saving (including 1.5 hectares with backlighting).
We introduced vertical culture technology in October 2023, and received our first cucumber harvest in mid-December of the same year. Special supplementary lighting helps accelerate plant growth and fasten crop ripening. In the future, we plan to continue this modernization effort. We will start in the autumn and upgrade 1.5 hectares. We grow cucumbers on an area of 5.5 hectares, and tomatoes on 4.5 hectares.”
