MINSK, 12 November (BelTA) – Industrial cooperation between Belarus and Zimbabwe is constantly gaining momentum, Belarusian Industry Minister Andrei Kuznetsov said during a working meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Zimbabwe to Belarus Ignatius Graham Mudzimba, the press service of the Belarusian Industry Ministry told BelTA.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation and also opportunities for further development of industrial relations between the two countries.
The Belarusian industry minister stated that Belarus-Zimbabwe industrial cooperation is gaining momentum this year. As part of the third stage of the country’s agricultural mechanization program, over $12 million worth of agricultural equipment has been delivered, including tractors, combines, and trailer machinery from enterprises affiliated with the Belarusian Industry Ministry. Agreements reached in 2024 and 2025, including during the visit of a government delegation with Industry Ministry executives to Harare in April 2025, became an important milestone in the efforts to expand cooperation between the two countries.
Andrei Kuznetsov confirmed interest in supplying the complete nomenclature of agricultural machinery and crop cultivation equipment as part of contract commitments. “The Belarusian Industry Ministry values the prospects of current projects and is eager to provide all necessary support,” the minister stressed.
The parties discussed next steps to boost practical cooperation and expressed confidence that the continuation of the dialogue and the development of mutually beneficial projects will become the foundation for further strengthening of friendly relations between Belarus and Zimbabwe.
