We are ready to expand supplies of Belarusian food products,” he said.
Cooperation in the construction sector was also on the agenda. “Mutual supplies of building materials are currently underway. I hope for mutually beneficial development in this area of trade,” the deputy prime minister said. “Belarusian companies have not yet participated in the construction projects in Vologda Oblast, but they do have such experience working with other Russian regions. At present, we are actively engaged in the design and construction of social facilities in Kaluga Oblast, Leningrad Oblast, Vladimir Oblast, and Nizhny Novgorod Oblast.” According to him, specialists from Belgosproekt and Belpromproekt can offer their expertise in designing industrial, social, and public facilities in Vologda Oblast.

Over this period, the Polymerkonstruktsiya company has successfully commissioned 10 facilities, four of them in 2024. Work is currently underway on seven wastewater treatment plants in Sokol District of Vologda Oblast.
Viktor Karankevich remarked that the governments of Belarus and Vologda Oblast will sign a cooperation development program for 2026-2028. In his view, it should serve as a practical guiding framework for the further advancement of mutually beneficial cooperation.
In January-June 2025, trade between Belarus and Vologda Oblast totaled $316.4 million (up by 0.9 % year-on-year). In recent years, this figure has generally shown growth: in 2020, mutual trade stood at $335 million, in 2024 it reached $678.1 million.

Exports from Vologda Oblast to Belarus were dominated by flat‑rolled products of various types of steel, wire, copper and copper alloys, ferrous metal scrap, and other goods.
