Belarus-Venezuela relations described as trust-based

MINSK, 28 March (BelTA) – Belarus and Venezuela enjoy a trust-based dialogue at various levels, Deputy Chairperson of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI) Yelena Malinovskaya said during a meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Republic of Belarus Franklin Ramirez Araque and Belarusian business communities held at the BelCCI, the BelCCI press service told BelTA.

Attending the meeting were leaders and representatives of Belarusian enterprises and organizations of various sectors, including industrial production, mechanical engineering, food industry, trade and others. Welcoming the guests, Yelena Malinovskaya stressed that Belarus and Venezuela enjoy a trust-based dialogue at various levels, including the highest one. The number of participants in this meeting demonstrated that Belarusian businesses have strong interest and specific proposals to foster cooperation and implement joint projects.

"Despite the geographical distance between the two countries, the Belarusian-Venezuelan relations remain friendly. They are based on common views on the global order, ideological principles, and a common assessment of many issues on the international agenda," Yelena Malinovskaya said.

Moreover, Belarus and Venezuela has a joint commission on trade and economic cooperation to address issues arising within the framework of interaction between the two countries.

In turn, Ambassador Franklin Ramirez Araque pointed out that the trade and economic relations between Belarus and Venezuela are currently reviving. The two counties need to further develop them based on their accumulated bilateral experience. This meeting would help outline new areas for cooperation which the two sides are interested in.
