MINSK, 29 November (BelTA) - Belarus and the United Arab Emirates plan to hold the next meeting of the Belarusian-Emirati Business Council and the Days of Culture of the United Arab Emirates in Minsk in 2025, Chairman of the State Authority for Military Industry of Belarus Dmitry Pantus said at an event to mark the 53rd National Day of the UAE, BelTA has learned.
He emphasized that thanks to unity, cohesion, tolerance, hospitality, respect for traditions and openness to progress and innovation, empathy and readiness to help, the United Arab Emirates enjoy well-deserved authority and respect around the world.
Dmitry Pantus pointed out that cooperation between Belarus and the UAE has continued its progressive development in recent years. The bilateral contacts are characterized by trustworthiness, wide coverage of topics and areas, and active dynamics. The development of trade and economic ties is of particular importance between the two states, he added.
The chairman expressed gratitude to the UAE for supporting Belarus on its way to becoming a BRICS partner state and added that Belarus was ready to implement joint initiatives on this important platform as well.
According to him, there is a significant prospect for the development of bilateral interregional cooperation, further strengthening of interaction in food security, expansion of constructive interaction in standardization and certification.
