Belarus signs contracts worth over $390m at MILEX 2025

MINSK, 25 May (BelTA) - Belarus signed a record number of contracts at the international arms and defense technology expo MILEX 2025, Chairman of the State Authority for Military Industry of Belarus Dmitry Pantus said in an interview with the First News TV channel on 24 may.

The MILEX 2025 expo was held from 21 to 24 May and once again confirmed the status of the most important platform for demonstrating the achievements of the military-industrial complex and strengthening strategic partnerships. It drew together 150 companies from Belarus, representatives of India, Iran, China, Pakistan, Russia and Iran and also official delegations from almost 30 countries. During the exhibition, the parties discussed the whole range of topical issues facing the arms industry and the scientific community.
According to Dmitry Pantus, compared to the previous edition in 2023, the event has grown significantly in terms of the number of exhibitors and the amount of contracts signed.

“We broke the record of the previous MILEX expo when we raked $277 million in contracts," Dmitry Pantus said. “This year it is a little over $390 million. We are working very closely with the Russian Federation. Our cooperation has reached its peak, and today the military-technical cooperation between our countries is at its maximum. Not a single product of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus can do without joint deliveries. We do not even view it as a foreign product anymore. We are engaged in a lot of joint research and development.”

Dmitry Pantus noted that today the countries are completing the work on the military-technical cooperation program until 2030. Despite the pressure and sanctions, fruitful cooperation in the defense industry continues, and the sector itself is actively gaining momentum. "A lot of work has been done for us to feel confident now," he added. “We continue to feel confident. This is the fruit of real and sincere joint work."
