MINSK, 16 March (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Anatoly Sivak discussed the prospects for developing cooperation with the Russian region during a meeting with Governor of Ryazan Oblast Pavel Malkov in Minsk on 16 March, BelTA has learned.
Traditional topics of cooperation typical for Belarus and Ryazan Oblast were touched upon during the governor's meeting with the president, Anatoly Sivak emphasized.
According to the deputy prime minister, the parties have opportunities for cooperation not only at the level of unique industrial giants but also across a wide range of industries and activities. The main task here, he stated, is to exchange information about each other’s production capabilities as fully as possible through state channels and regional ties. Statistics confirm that the potential for growth is high.
“Belarus and Ryazan Oblast have a cooperation plan for 2025-2028, that spells out real opportunities to increase indicators. “Traditionally, the parties cooperate in the areas of agriculture, food, and industry. It has happened historically. Our flagship companies have a good reputation in Ryazan Oblast as well. The process is ongoing, changes are taking place, and various additional forms are emerging, in this case both joint ventures and service centers for Belarusian machinery. The opinion of clients and enterprises that use this equipment is very important to us. This situation has been discussed very persistently at the government level in recent years. Honestly, we have something to strive for here. We care not only about large consumers, but also smaller ones,” Anatoly Sivak emphasized.
He recalled that at a recent meeting the Presidium of the Council of Ministers reviewed the development of multi-brand service centers, which will give a new impetus to customer work and improve the quality of service.

As the curator of the construction industry, Anatoly Sivak emphasized that he sees great prospects in the trade of building materials and services. According to him, Belarus has preserved a strong structure of construction companies and house-building plants, which are ready to offer competitive solutions for both residential developments and industrial facilities.
The deputy prime minister also highlighted social welfare and tourism as essential to developing the human potential. Currently, according to him, there is a shift in preferences: from distant countries to domestic and interregional routes. Being in the same conditions, Belarus and Ryazan Oblast of Russia can offer citizens high-quality alternatives for recreation and cultural exchange, which are especially in demand among the youth.
