
MINSK, 11 August (BelTA) - Belarus and Chelyabinsk Oblast are set to expand cooperation in industrial robotics, Governor of Russia's Chelyabinsk Oblast Aleksei Teksler told the media after his meeting with the Belarusian president in Minsk on 11 August, BelTA learned.
The governor noted that the meeting with the head of state explored new avenues of cooperation between Belarus and Chelyabinsk Oblast, with a focus on industrial robotics. Aleksei Teksler emphasized that Chelyabinsk Oblast is a leader in this field.

"Chelyabinsk University runs programs training professionals in this field. There are also competence centers that assist with audits and implement industrial robotics solutions across manufacturing enterprises," he emphasized.
Aleksei Teksler highlighted significant potential for cooperation between Chelyabinsk Oblast and Belarus in this sector: "We agreed to engage Belarusian partners for integrating our robotic systems into production processes first and then for future collaboration in robot assembly in Belarus”.
The governor outlined additional areas of cooperation between the Russian region and Belarus, emphasizing a broad cooperation spectrum. “We have much to offer each other in terms of agricultural cooperation," Aleksei Teksler noted, highlighting one key areas. "We have been stepping up imports of food products and specialized equipment from Belarus, developing our dairy farms.”
The head of the Russian region and the Belarusian leader also discussed humanitarian cooperation, focusing on cultural exchanges and university partnerships. Direct flights have been established between Belarus and Chelyabinsk Oblast. "This enables our people to engage actively in business and tourism. We warmly invite residents of Belarus to visit Chelyabinsk Oblast," Aleksei Teksler stated. He added that there has been a noticeable increase in tourists traveling to Belarus from Chelyabinsk Oblast.
