BAKU, 19 May (BelTA) - Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko visited the international exhibitions Caspian Agro and Inter Food in Baku on 19 May, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian head of government was shown the expositions of Belarus and Azerbaijan. The parties discussed further development of trade and economic relations and mutual food supplies.
The Belarusian exposition at the international Caspian Agro and Inter Food exhibitions is represented by 39 companies. The total area of the exposition is 245 square meters.
Caspian Agro is a major international agricultural exhibition. The main exhibition sections include innovative technology in agriculture, agricultural machinery, livestock and poultry, feed, veterinary, agricultural landscape, greenhouses, horticulture, flower, fruit and vegetable growing, cotton, textiles and many more.
The Inter Food Azerbaijan exhibition is held in parallel with Caspian Agro and is the main meeting place for food industry players in the Caspian region.
450 companies from 27 countries including Belarus, Azerbaijan, Germany, Georgia, Spain, Italy, India, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Russia, Saudi Arabia, the USA, Turkey, and Sri Lanka are among the participants of Caspian Agro and Inter Food Azerbaijan this year.
The Baku Expo Center is an exhibition center located 17km from the center of Baku. The total area of the complex is 10 hectares. Expo Center occupies 3 hectares with a total exhibition area of more than 20,000 square meters. There are three pavilions for various types of exhibitions.
A Belarusian government delegation is on a working visit to Azerbaijan. Contracts worth $55 million were signed between the two countries on the first day of the visit.
