ISLAMABAD, 25 November (BelTA) – Belarus and Pakistan are working on seamless freight logistics, Director General of Belarus' logistics operator Beltamozhservice Dmitry Kovalenok told the media on the margins of the Belarusian-Pakistani business forum in Islamabad on 25 November, BelTA has learned.
Dmitry Kovalenok pointed out that nowadays it is not easy to supply goods to Pakistan. The parties are working on reducing the costs of supplying goods to Pakistan and to Belarus.
"If we build proper logistics we can reduce costs by 15%. We need to work out common transport solutions in order to develop seamless logistics. It will allow cargoes not to stand idle either in Belarus, or in the Russian port, or in the Pakistani port," he said.
The parties drafted an intergovernmental agreement on international road transport. The agreement defines the procedure for international road transportation of passengers and cargo, the conditions for mutual exemption of carriers from customs duties, taxes and fees related to the use of means of transport.
