Belarus, Myanmar to promote tighter interaction between chambers of commerce, industry

MINSK, 9 March (BelTA) – Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI) Mikhail Myatlikov met with President of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) Aye Win in the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. As a result of the meeting the parties agreed to appoint officials to take care of interaction between the chambers for the sake of the Belarusian private sector and the Myanmar one, the BelCCI press service told BelTA.

Secretary General of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry Khaing Nwe and heads of the Myanmar companies, which are UMFCCI members and are interested in establishing cooperation with Belarusian enterprises, also took part in the meeting.

The meeting primarily focused on the advancement of business cooperation between Belarus and Myanmar. Mikhail Myatlikov invited Aye Win and Myanmar companies to participate in the international expo Belagro, which is due in Minsk in June 2025.

During the meeting the guests spoke highly of the level of organization and of results of the Belarus-Myanmar business forum, which took place in Minsk on 6 March. Chairman of the State Administration Council, Prime Minister of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Min Aung Hlaing, Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Yuri Shuleiko, and Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov took part in the forum.
