Belarus' exports of goods, services down 12.8% in January-November 2020

MINSK, 12 January (BelTA) - Belarus' exports of goods and services totaled $33.3 billion in January-November 2020, down 12.8% versus the same period of 2019, BelTA learned from the latest statistics released by the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB).

Belarus' foreign trade in goods and services totaled $64.5 billion, down 15.1% from January-November 2019. Imports amounted to almost $31.3 billion (down 17.5%). The surplus of Belarus' foreign trade in goods and services made up $1.98 billion ($233.7 million in January-November 2019).

Belarus' trade in goods contracted by 15.9% to $52.3 billion. Exports of goods went down by 14% to $25.4 billion, with imports down 17.6% to $26.9 billion. The deficit of Belarus' trade in goods amounted to $1.5 billion. In January-November 2019 it was $3.1 billion.

In January-November 2020 Belarus' foreign trade in services totaled $12.2 billion (down 11.7%). Exports of services reduced by 8.7% to $7.8 billion, with imports going down by 16.8% to $4.4 billion. The surplus of Belarus' foreign trade in services totaled almost $3.5 billion ($3.3 billion in January-November 2019).
