MOSCOW, 21 February (BelTA) - Ambassador of Belarus to Russia Yuri Seliverstov held a meeting with Ambassador of Ethiopia to the Russian Federation and concurrently to the Republic of Belarus Genet Teshome Jirru, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission.
The ambassadors welcomed the intensification of contacts between Minsk and Addis Ababa in recent years and also discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in politics, economy, and the development of the legal framework.
“As one of the important practical steps aimed at developing trade and economic interaction, the heads of the diplomatic missions spoke in favor of setting up joint assembly plants for Belarusian agricultural machinery in Ethiopia,” the press service noted.
Ambassador Yuri Seliverstov also emphasized Belarus's focus on signing a number of bilateral documents with Ethiopia.
