Belarus-Egypt Business Cooperation Council to hold first meeting in 2019

MINSK, 20 June (BelTA) – The first meeting of the Belarus-Egypt Business Cooperation Council will be held before the end of 2019. The appropriate agreement was reached at a meeting between co-chairpersons of the Belarus-Egypt joint trade commission, Belarus' Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Vladimir Koltovich and Egypt Minister of Trade and Industry Amr Nassar, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade.

A preliminary agreement was reached to hold in Minsk in 2019 the sixth meeting of the Belarusian-Egyptian joint trade commission and also the first meeting of the Business Cooperation Council.

“The parties discussed bilateral cooperation in various areas: trade and investment, industry, IT, agriculture, tourism and others,” the press service said.

The parties focused on the practical implementation of the documents signed on 18 June to define the further vector of the Belarusian-Egyptian cooperation: the roadmap to boost cooperation between Belarus and Egypt for 2019-2020 and the memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of Belarus and the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Egypt on the setting up of the Business Cooperation Council.
