
MINSK, 14 August (BelTA) – The Development Bank of Belarus and the Moscow Government aim to scale up cooperation, BelTA learned from the press service of the Development Bank of Belarus.
During a meeting on 13 August, Chairman of the Board of the Development Bank Sergei Stolyarchuk and Minister of Moscow Government, Head of the Department for External Economic and International Relations, Sergei Cheremin discussed the potential for economic collaboration between Belarus and the Russian capital. A key focus was on the financing by the Bank of Belarusian exports to Moscow.
Sergei Stolyarchuk highlighted the Bank’s capabilities for supporting efficient economic initiatives. “Our financial instruments enable the implementation of large-scale and high-impact projects, from SMEs and investment initiatives to major exports and joint production facilities. In its operations the Development Bank aims not only to scale up the existing potential but also to explore new avenues,” he stated.
The Development Bank of Belarus has a successful track record of similar projects in other Russian regions.Recognizing both the economic and social benefits, Sergei Stolyarchuk emphasized readiness to finance such initiatives quickly, provided deals are properly structured.
Additionally, Sergei Stolyarchuk and Sergei Cheremin explored broader synergies between Belarus and Moscow, including joint ventures, cooperation with distant countries and SME collaboration. Following the lengthy and productive talks, the parties agreed to refine the most promising areas and move toward practical implementation in the near future.

Minister Sergei Cheremin noted the strong demand for Belarusian food and industrial products among Moscow’s residents and businesses. “To improve living standards, Moscow continues to develop modern residential and infrastructure projects where the expertise of Belarusian specialists and locally produced construction materials and equipment will be invaluable. This is a promising area for cooperation, which we aim to advance with the Development Bank’s support,” he said.

The parties also focused on establishing a multibrand center for Belarusian goods, where the Development Bank plans to play an active role. The center will serve as an “export gateway” for Belarusian products and services, showcasing not only finished goods but also components, related goods and after-sales support.
