Belarus' delegation led by PM arrives in Kazan

UFA, 21 September (BelTA) – The delegation of the Republic of Belarus headed by Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko has landed in Kazan, BelTA has learned.

The second day of the working visit of the Belarusian delegation in Ufa was busy with business meetings. The delegation took part in the International Transport and Construction Congress in Ufa, the Republic of Bashkortostan. One of the main tasks of the congress was to help build and scale up business contacts between manufacturers of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus. Taking part in the congress were leading companies in the construction and road transport industries, representatives of federal and regional executive authorities, the financial sector and public associations from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Türkiye and Iran.

According to the organizers, the congress had an extensive business program. Since the sanctions had an impact on road, rail and maritime logistics, it is necessary to explore new routes, adjust the work of transport and logistics centers, cargo delivery, customs policy. Therefore, the congress tried to cover all the issues that have to do with economic operation.

“The challenges faced by our countries require new and out-of-the-box solutions and joint efforts. Transport and construction sectors are no exception. The delivery of export-import cargo at the present stage is undergoing significant transformations. The termination of uninterrupted communication with the European Union forces us to look for new routes, to develop alternative transport and logistics chains. Here we work together and try to address specific tasks. Together with Russian partners, we are consistently working to create new logistics using the transport infrastructure of the Russian Federation,” Roman Golovchenko said.

A solemn opening ceremony of a dealer center of Minsk Automobile Plant took place on the sidelines of the congress.

In Ufa the Belarusian delegation signed several important cooperation agreements and contracts, including a RUB1.5 billion contract to supply Belshina tire products.
