MINSK, 11 August (BelTA) – In January-June 2021 Belarus' export of agricultural products and foodstuffs amounted to about $2.99 billion, up 10.7% year-on-year, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.
In January-June 2021, Belarus exported its food products to 96 countries. “Shipments increased nearly to all regions. The export to the CIS countries, including Russia, went up by 5.5%. Supplies to the countries of Asia and Oceania soared by 48.5%, to the EU by 52.6%, to Americas and the Caribbean countries by 85.3%, and to African countries by 51.0%. The export of foodstuffs to China expanded by 46.2%. All in all, Belarus' export to non-CIS countries surged by 51.9% year-on-year,” the press service said.
The export of milk and dairy products rose by 7.2%, beef by 10.4%, sausage products by 33.7%, fish and fish products by 25.2%, eggs by 38.4%, potatoes by 14.2%. The export of rapeseed oil doubled.
