At 01:45 on 20 March 2017 a Jeep car attempted to break through the Belarusian-Ukrainian border from Ukraine near the border checkpoint Aleksandrovka. The car rammed through the gate arm and suffered mechanical damage by driving through the vehicle stopping device. Border service officers had to use service firearms to stop the car.
