Dinamo Minsk sign forward Jacob Micflikier to one-year deal


MINSK, 6 June (BelTA) – HC Dinamo Minsk has signed 28-year-old Canadian forward Jacob Micflikier to a one-year contract, BelTA has learnt.

The player was born in Winnipeg, Canada on 11 July 1984. Jacob Micflikier has played for AHL Springfield Falcons, Rochester Americans, Albany River Rats, Charlotte Checkers, and Hershey Bears. The Canadian had 76 goals and 106 assists in 350 games of the American Hockey League.

Last season Jacob Micflikier signed a one-year deal with EHC Biel in the Swiss-A League. He posted 21 goals and 30 assists in 52 games in Switzerland. The Canadian will join the Minsk team training camp in July.

The Belarusian club will use a new 6+1 formula (6 foreign players and one foreign goaltender) in the KHL 2013/14 season.
