MINSK, 13 September (BelTA) – The interior ministries of Belarus and Finland will develop cooperation. A memorandum of understanding between the interior ministries of the two countries was signed during the visit of the Belarusian delegation led by Interior Minister Igor Shunevich, BelTA learned from the embassy of Belarus.
“The document envisages the deepening of cooperation on the exchange of information of mutual interest, fulfillment of requests on the provision of assistance, holding of working meetings, consultations, practical conferences and seminars, joint scientific research,” the diplomatic mission informed.
The two ministers held negotiations, discussed the fight on organized crime, terrorism, and extremism. The parties also exchanged experience in ensuring public security, discussed the prospects of interaction in professional training.
The Belarusian delegation visited one of the regional police departments in Vantaa where they familiarized themselves with the organization of efforts to ensure law and order at the local level.
