MINSK, 20 July (BelTA) – The establishment of a research center of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) at the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park Great Stone has been discussed by Deputy Economy Minister of Belarus Alexander Chervyakov and CASC Vice President Zhang Jianheng, BelTA learned from the website of the Economy Ministry.
During the meeting the Chinese side made a presentation of the corporation and its lines of business, voiced plans to set up a research center and to consider new joint ventures in various areas. The Belarusian side informed their Chinese counterparts about the work on the draft plan for a new industrialized economy where cooperation with major Chinese corporations is one of the areas of focus.
The China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation designs, develops, manufactures, tests and supplies various types of satellites, spacecraft, aircraft for deep space exploration, strategic and tactical missile systems. It has research and production facilities in Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Xi'an, Chengdu, Hong Kong, and Shenzhen.
The letter of the CASC's intent to become a resident company of the Great Stone park was signed on 26 March 2018.
