CHISINAU, 16 June (BelTA) – Belarus and Moldova plan to sign an intergovernmental agreement in the area of social insurance. The two countries will start the corresponding negotiations in 2018. The relevant agreement was reached at the Moldovan-Belarusian consultations in Chisinau on 14-15 June, BelTA learned from the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family of Moldova.
Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family Viorica Dumbraveanu welcomed the Belarusian experts and expressed gratitude for their readiness to start a bilateral dialogue with Moldova in the area of social insurance.
Representatives of the Belarusian Labor and Social Security Ministry and the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family of Moldova agree to consider the possibility of signing an agreement based on the pro rata principle to provide Moldovan citizens living in Belarus and Belarusian people living in Moldova with the equal rights for pension and social allowance.
