MINSK, 2 October (BelTA) – The 2nd European Games will be a good chance to showcase Belarus' achievements, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko said at the opening of the autumn session on 2 October, BelTA informs.
“The country is ready to host the 2nd European Games. We must use this prestigious sport forum as an opportunity to showcase the achievements of our country,” said Vladimir Andreichenko.
In his words, public initiatives implemented as part of the Year of Native Land can help address the issue. Not only the Belarusian capital but also any settlement of the country should show their best to the guests, the chairman of the House of Representatives said.
“All minor clean-up initiatives are capable of adding a serious impetus to develop local infrastructure, create jobs and support vulnerable categories of the population,” Vladimir Andreichenko added.
