Lukashenko says ready to serve Belarusian people till last breath

MINSK, 6 November (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said he is ready to serve the Belarusian people till the last breath. He made the statement at the ceremony of taking the oath of office of the Belarus President on 6 November, BelTA has learned.

“I am a tough person. I have very strict requirements on the people and government members I work with. Without such requirements we will not hold out, we will be torn apart,” the head of state stressed. “I understand that certain people voted for me taking into account my future plans and actions. This is a natural thing, especially in the presidential election. I am saying all this in case someone doubts that the right person was elected. ” Alexander Lukashenko is convinced: “You have made the right decision at the election. This is not because I am an exceptional person, or because I am a man with exceptional wits. It is because we do not owe anything to anyone. We did not launder money in the election campaign. I did not give any promises in the East or in the West, in America or in Africa. The election was an independent one. It is the greatest achievement when the President wins thanks to the people, when the people elect him, when money does not play any role and millions are not injected in the election campaign.”

Addressing voters, first of all, young people, Alexander Lukashenko said: “When the next presidential election comes please look whose money and people are behind a candidate. I have neither strangers nor money in my team. I rely on you, the Belarusian people. And I am ready to serve you as long as the nation trusts me, till the last breath.”
