MINSK, 14 January (BelTA) – Self-employed businessmen should realize that the certification of products is the first step, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said at the session concerning the approval of the resolution on the protection of the state border by border protection agencies on 14 January, BelTA has learned.
The head of state commented on the situation around self-employed businessmen: on 1 January they have to start working in equal conditions in compliance with the corresponding documents. “They should realize that the certification of products that we had introduced is the first step. All products should have accompanying documents. We need transparent trade,” Alexander Lukashenko stressed.
The President met with self-employed businessmen last year. Back then a decision was made that all payers of a self-employment tax should have corresponding documents to confirm the purchase of light industry goods. Alexander Lukashenko reminded about those agreements and was puzzled by the fact that now he is pushed to make certain decisions.
Turning to the topic of the session, the head of state stressed that one of the main factors of the country's sovereignty is the secure and reliable border. Alexander Lukashenko urged to focus on a number of aspects of the external situation – an alarming and dangerous increase in illegal migration flows worldwide, illegal trafficking of goods, weapons and drugs.
