MINSK, 14 March (BelTA) – Belarus reaffirms the readiness to develop all-round cooperation with Egypt, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said as he met with Mohamed Al-Assar, Minister of Military Production of Egypt, on 14 March, BelTA has learned.
The head of state pointed out the importance of the resolution of the Egyptian side to implement top-level arrangements, and this visit testifies to that. The minister arrived in Minsk with a delegation including representatives of various industries.
Alexander Lukashenko reminded that during his visit to Egypt he managed to reach important agreements in various fields of cooperation with the President of Egypt.
“In fact, we are ready to provide necessary assistance in personnel training and share technologies in all avenues of cooperation you are interested in,” the head of state stressed. “We are ready to set up enterprises in Egypt, develop them with you.”
“So there are no forbidden topics in cooperation between our countries. We are ready to develop contacts in all dimensions, ranging from agriculture to the military industry and defense sectors,” Alexander Lukashenko said.
Mohamed Al-Assar, in turn, thanked the Belarusian head of state for the opportunity to meet with him in spite of the President's busy schedule. “It reaffirms your interest in the development of cooperation with Egypt. We are also interested in it,” he said. The minister remarked that a delegation of the representatives of ministries and agencies arrived in Minsk with him. He expressed confidence that the visit will be a success and will benefit both sides.
