MINSK, 15 August (BelTA) - Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to member of the Belarusian national swimming team Aleksandra Gerasimenya who won an Olympic bronze medal in Rio de Janeiro, BelTA learned from the presidential press service.
“Congratulations! We are proud of you! Four years after you returned to the Olympic podium and made numerous Belarusian fans happy by your scintillating performance. We believed in you till the very last moment, and you did not disappoint,” the head of state stressed.
Alexander Lukashenko expressed confidence that hard work, perseverance, and will power of Aleksandra Gerasimenya will be a good example for young Belarusian swimmers who are also dreaming to get on the Olympic podium.
Alexander Lukashenko wished Aleksandra Gerasimenya strong health, good mood, new sports victories and other achievements.
