MINSK, 10 September (BelTA) – The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Belarus registered Tatiana Korotkevich as candidate for the post of the President of Belarus on 10 September, BelTA informs.
Tatiana Korotkevich's initiative group submitted over 107,000 voter signatures to territorial election commissions. Of them nearly 105,000 were recognized as valid. This amount is enough to register an individual as a presidential candidate.
Tatiana Korotkevich also filed other necessary documents, including her biography, the income and property statements of hers and other adult family members living with her.
After the Central Election Commission decided in favor of Tatiana Korotkevich's registration, the presidential candidate gave a speech. The politician thanked the people for support and criticized the economic policies of the country's leadership.
