CHISINAU, 18 April (BelTA) – Moldova and Belarus have always managed to maintain good relations, Moldova President Igor Dodon said in an interview with BelTA.
“Belarus is among the top 10 largest economic partners of Moldova. Judging by my own experience, I can say that your country is among our best partners. This refers to the entire history of our relations, regardless of the government we had. Moldova and Belarus have always had very good bilateral relations,” Igor Dodon pointed out.
When asked how he sees Belarus-Moldova relations five to ten years from now, the president expressed hope that the two countries will boost their trade.
“I hope that we will open more joint companies to co-produce buses, trolleybuses, and tractors to branch out into the EU markets in the future. Those products made in Moldova and sold to the EU are free from import duties. This benefits our Belarusian partners,” Igor Dodon noted.
