MINSK, 9 February (BelTA) – The first meeting of the CEI Committee of National Coordinators to be held under the auspices of Belarus' Chairmanship of the Central European Initiative in 2017 will bring together representatives of 18 countries in the Belarusian capital on 14 February, spokesman for the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Mironchik told reporters on 9 February, BelTA has learned.
“The Committee of National Coordinators meeting will gather representatives of 18 member states (mainly ambassadors), the CEI Secretary General and Alternate Secretary General,” Dmitry Mironchik said.
Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei will give a speech at the meeting. The diplomat will present the key priorities and preliminary program of Belarus' Chairmanship of the CEI.
The meeting will also discuss current matters related to the work of the organization, including sectoral and project cooperation, interaction with other international and regional associations, and ways to further upgrade the Central European Initiative.
