MINSK, 27 September (BelTA) – A Canadian delegation led by Stefanie Beck, Assistant Deputy Minister, Europe, Arctic, Middle East and Maghreb at Global Affairs Canada, is on a visit to Belarus on 26-28 September to take part in political consultations and a business forum, Anatoly Glaz, the head of the department of information and digital diplomacy (spokesperson) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, told the media on 27 September, BelTA has learned.
“The visit to our country of a Global Affairs Canada delegation of such a level is the first one in the history of Belarus-Canada relations. The delegation includes members of Global Affairs Canada, Queen's Privy Council for Canada, Canadian Embassy in Poland, as well as representatives of a number of Canadian companies, including BlackBerry and Bombardier,” Anatoly Glaz said.
The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is already hosting bilateral consultations on general political issues. The National Library will be the venue for the first Belarus-Canada business forum.
The Canadian delegation will also visit BelAZ, the Hi-Tech Park, and the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park Great Stone.
