MINSK, 2 April (BelTA) – The Union State is a vivid example of a long-term bilateral partnership and a foundation for integration processes in the Eurasian space, Belarus' Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov said in a letter of congratulations to his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev as the two countries celebrate the Unity Day of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian government.
“Today there is every condition to improve the level of integration through an agreed structural policy and strengthening of trade, economic, social and cultural ties,” Andrei Kobyakov said.
The Belarusian head of government expressed the hope that effective cooperation between the governments of the two countries would contribute to the further development of the Belarusian-Russian relations.
Andrei Kobyakov also sent a letter of congratulations to State Secretary of the Union State Grigory Rapota. He noted that for many years the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia has been “the embodiment of the centuries-old Belarusian-Russian friendship and fruitful cooperation between the two fraternal peoples.” The prime minister hopes for further active assistance of the State Secretary in addressing a wide range of joint tasks and filling the bilateral agenda with projects that promote effective integration development.
