MINSK, 16 February (BelTA) – Belarus and Malta are marking 25 years since the interstate agreement on the establishment of diplomatic relations was signed, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
On 16 February Belarus' Ambassador to Italy with concurrent accreditation to Malta Alexander Guryanov paid a visit to Valletta. The diplomat held meetings with representatives of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Trade Promotion of Malta to discuss priorities in the development of Belarus-Malta cooperation.
Alexander Guryanov conveyed a message of congratulations on behalf of Belarus' Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei to Malta's Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade Promotion Carmelo Abela on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the two states. Consultations with the participation of Director General for Political, EU Affairs and Maltese Abroad Maria Calleja discussed the agenda of bilateral cooperation for the near- and mid-term and also the Belarus-EU dialogue, cooperation in the OSCE and other international organizations.
