Belarus, Italy seek to boost practical cooperation

MINSK, 22 March (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Italy Alexander Guryanov and Italian Undersecretary of State of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Vincenzo Amendola expressed a mutual interest in further enhancing cooperation in practical terms, BelTA has learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The parties discussed the issues of current bilateral and multilateral cooperation, in particular within the framework of the Belarusian presidency of the Central European Initiative. Alexander Guryanov and Vincenzo Amendola expressed a mutual interest in maintaining the current momentum in Belarus-Italy relations and promoting the bilateral cooperation in practical terms,” the press service informed.

Alexander Guryanov and Vincenzo Amendola also discussed the preparations for the 25th anniversary of Belarus-Italy diplomatic relations. The events marking this date will include a joint Belarusian-Italian economic forum due in Milan in May 2017.
