MINSK, 31 May (BelTA) – Belarus Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei met with a delegation of the Network Foreign Policy of the Korber Foundation on 30 May, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Members of the Korber Network Foreign Policy are on an information visit to Belarus from 30 May to 1 June. The delegation included officials of the Office of the Federal Chancellor of Germany, the Bundestag Administration, a number of federal ministries and departments, representatives of analytical structures, diplomatic corps accredited in Berlin. German Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Belarus Peter Dettmar took part in the meeting as well.
Vladimir Makei outlined the main priorities of the Belarusian foreign policy, detailed the Belarusian president's foreign policy initiatives aimed at promoting the ideas of partnership of integration associations and renewing the pan-European dialogue on security. The minister also touched upon the issues of cooperation between Belarus and the EU and the development of Belarusian-German relations.
The Belarusian minister of foreign affairs answered a number of questions and confirmed Belarus' interest in continuing constructive cooperation with the Korber Foundation.
The Korber Foundation is one of Germany's leading think tanks in foreign policy. The Foreign Policy Network, which is part of the foundation, unites young foreign-policy professionals. Since 2005, the network has been organizing annual working trips to countries of particular importance for the German foreign policy.
