MINSK, 31 August (BelTA) – Belarus' Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrei Dapkiunas met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Cui Qiming on 30 August, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties discussed preparations for high-level bilateral visits and joint events of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and China's Embassy in Minsk. The deputy minister expressed his gratitude to the Chinese ambassador for his personal initiative in organizing a series of seminars for the delegation of Belarusian senior officials in Beijing and Shanghai by the Aibo Academy of the Ministry of Commerce of China.
The delegation led by Andrei Dapkiunas visited Beijing and Shanghai on 20-29 August to participate in the seminar and study China's practices in economic development and modern reforms. The seminar was organized by the Ministry of Commerce of China. While in Beijing, the group discussed issues related to financial market regulations and China's financial system development, got familiar with the country's social security system. The Belarusian delegation also visited the Shanghai Free Economic Zone to study China's investment experience.
