Belarus' ambassadors to continue working to have market access restrictions lifted

MINSK, 13 July (BelTA) – Belarus' ambassadors need to continue working to have all restrictions on the access of Belarusian products to foreign markets lifted, Belarus' Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei said when summing up the results of the annual seminar of the heads of diplomatic missions and consular institutions of Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of the Foreign Ministry.

The diplomatic missions will also continue working on diversifying export routes and improving the foreign economic forecasting.

Substantive attention was given to the priority areas of work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and diplomatic missions taking into account the instructions of the head of state. These include improving the efficiency of foreign trade activities, expanding and improving the quality structure of exports of goods and services. The major goal is to meet the targets in foreign trade.

The need for further steps to promote inbound tourism was highlighted. The main tasks of diplomatic missions with regards the regional and country dimensions were specified.

The meeting participants also discussed a wide range of issues related to the functioning of the MFA system taking into account the modern requirements.
