MINSK, 13 July (BelTA) – In value terms the Belarusian exports began to grow in recent months, Belarus' Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei said when speaking at a workshop with the heads of diplomatic missions and consular institutions of Belarus, BelTA has learned.
“In the last three months the exports have been growing by $60 -70 million. It is not much but still it is growth. We want to see it as an encouraging trend,” Vladimir Makei noted.
The Minister noted that in January-May, the physical volume of exports increased but in value terms it, however, fell. “The loss of exports was 19.2%. The worst hit were the supplies of oil and petroleum products, liquefied gas, potash and nitrogen fertilizers. Excluding the above-mentioned goods, the exports decreased by 6.8% in January-May,” the Minister added.
