MINSK, 18 April (BelTA) – Cooperation in the dairy industry is becoming an important aspect of Belarus-France economic relations, French Ambassador to Belarus Didier Canesse told BelTA at the international forum Dairy Belarus 2018.
According to the diplomat, the dairy industry has received a significant boost both in Belarus and France. He stressed the importance of active mutual exchange in this field for both countries. “We have something to offer to Belarus in terms of equipment, technologies for the entire dairy value chain, and background in dairy farming,” the ambassador said.
Some French companies have been successfully operating in Belarus, he added. “Several French companies have been setting in motion projects in Belarus for a long time. They are very effective,” Didier Canesse remarked.
A French delegation will be in Belarus on a visit from 18 to 20 April. It comprises representatives of French enterprises, members of the ADEPTA (Association for the Development of International Exchange of Food and Agriculture Products and Techniques). The Dairy Belarus forum features a stand of French companies where the guests can learn more about them and have preliminary negotiations. The French guests are also expected to visit agricultural companies of Novogrudok District. French businessmen specializing in the dairy industry and France Group experts are exploring the opportunities for transferring technology to Belarusian companies, launching joint projects, adopting different forms of industrial cooperation, branching out together into third countries, and raising investment.
