GRODNO, 18 September (BelTA) – A Belgian holding company is interested in starting the production of fertilizers in the free economic zone (FEZ) Grodnoinvest, BelTA learned from representatives of the FEZ Grodnoinvest administration.
According to the source, a leading manufacturer of special fertilizers with leading market positions in the USA, Canada, and Western Europe is considering the possibility of building an enterprise in FEZ Grodnoinvest. Representatives of the company met with representatives of the FEZ Grodnoinvest administration on the eve of an international business forum in Grodno.
It was the second visit of representatives of the Belgian holding company to Grodno. Participants of the meeting discussed the choice of an acceptable land plot and possible manufacturing cooperation with Grodno Oblast enterprises. The sides determined further steps concerning the project's implementation.
Top executives of the Belgian holding company took part in a panel session of the international business forum Euroregion Neman 2018, which took place in Grodno on 14 September. The region's largest investment forum gathered about 500 representatives of the private sector, science, and government agencies from CIS and non-CIS states. Over $100 million worth of contracts were signed as a result of the forum.
