MINSK, 9 December (BelTA) – In November 2014 an estimated 115,585 passengers used the services of Belarus' national air carrier Belavia, up 25.8% from November 2013, BelTA learnt from the air company.
In January-November 2014 Belavia carried 1,858,328 passengers, up 22.5% from the eleven months of 2013. The passenger traffic increased by 23.3% as compared to January-November 2013.
The amount of cargo and post transported by Belavia in November 2014 increased by 10.9% to 202,600 tonnes over the same period last year. In January-November Belavia carried 1,990.5 tonnes of cargo and post, up 12.3% as against January-November 2013.
Belavia is the largest air carrier in Belarus. Since the start of 2014 the company added five more aircraft to its fleet. In late January 2014 Belavia acquired a juridical status of an open joint stock company. Belavia is based in the National Airport Minsk and offers regular flights to more than 40 destinations in Europe and Asia. Belavia's services meet the highest international safety standards.
