MINSK, 24 January (BelTA) – Belarus and Germany plan to promote bilateral cooperation in sustainable development, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Economy Ministry.
Belarus' Deputy Economy Minister Dmitry Matusevich met with Jurgen Keinhorst, Director for Cooperation with Eastern Europe, Central Asia and South Caucasus, Middle East and North Africa at the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety, and German Ambassador to Belarus Peter Dettmar.
The parties discussed cooperation in sustainable development including green economy and outlined priority areas. Jurgen Keinhorst informed on projects promising for Belarus and expressed a big interest in cooperation with the Economy Ministry.
The participants of the meeting agreed on possible further cooperation of the Belarusian Economy Ministry with Germany and the European Union during the meetings of national and international coordinators and experts in the sustainable development goals.
