BORISOV, 25 July (BelTA) – Borisov Pharmaceutical Company will team up with Chinese specialists to roll out traditional Chinese medicines, Director General of the Borisov-based company Vitaly Deresh told reporters on 25 July, BelTA has learned.
A modern pharmaceutical company is to be built in the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone in cooperation with a Beijing-based pharmaceutical corporation.
The director noted that this will be a new line of business for the Belarusian pharmaceutical industry. Representatives of the company and the park will visit China soon to discuss details of the project. Vitaly Deresh emphasized that the new company will produce medicines from natural resources; these will be drugs, not dietary supplements.
The medicines will be sold in Belarus and abroad. Traditional Chinese medicines are popular in western countries. At the same time, one of the primary goals of the project is to saturate the Belarusian market with such products.
Talks are underway with a state-run pharmaceutical company from Shanghai to build a pharmaceutical factory. However, it is too early to talk about results of the talks.
