Denis Manturov visited the Belarusian mechanical engineering company Amkodor, got familiar with the samples of new products, held talks with the company. The minister took note of a large number of new promising developments, including logging equipment. “We look forward to partnership relations with Amkodor. We are selecting a site in Russia to set up the assembly production,” the minister said.
The parties agreed to expand the product line of OOO Amkodor-Bryansk which assembles loaders.
The minister welcomed the good prospects of Belarusian-Russian industrial cooperation which will be discussed at a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Belarus-Russia Union State in Minsk on 19 June. For his part, Belarus' Industry Minister Vitaly Vovk expressed confidence that the existing issues will be resolved. The minister believes that it is important for Russia and Belarus, in particular, to reduce the import of component parts from third countries. The Union State should develop industrial cooperation using the potential of Belarusian and Russian flagship companies such as MAZ, KamAZ, MTZ, Gomselmash and Rostselmash. “I would like us to work in this direction more actively,” Vitaly Vovk said.
