MINSK, 11 April (BelTA) – Belarus and Denmark voiced plans to boost trade and economic cooperation during another round of consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs of the two countries in Minsk on 11 April, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Belarusian and Danish delegations were headed by Belarus' Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Oleg Kravchenko and Carsten Gronbech-Jensen, Chief European Affairs Adviser to the Prime Minister at the Danish Prime Minister's Office, respectively.
The sides discussed wide-ranging matters on the bilateral agenda, including political, trade, economic, humanitarian cooperation, Belarus-EU dialogue, and interaction in international organizations. The meeting participants also exchanged opinion on separate regional matters. “They showed mutual interest in further expansion of trade, economic, and investment cooperation,” the press service noted.
Minsk also hosted consultations between Belarus' and Latvia's ministries of foreign affairs on matters relating to international law. Belarus was represented by Andrei Metelitsa, head of the legal department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Sanita Pekale, Director of the Legal Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led the Latvian delegation.
The sides updated the lists of Belarus-Latvia bilateral treaties and exchanged information on the ways they put them into practice and draft new documents.
They also discussed other matters of international law, including cooperation in international organizations.
